Whoops!

I'm so sorry; i completely forgot about this blog until i saw the new timetable sheet today.  I've had 4 Performing Arts lessons (as well as most of academic review day in the Nyman Room) since my last post and we have now finished blocking the play.  Contrary to most of our songs - Fat Sam's Grand Slam - is now just being sung basically as loud as we can.  We had our first rehearsal today and now most of our lessons will be in the hall.  This is because we will be performing Bugsy Malone in the hall and obviously need to be familiar with the stages and exits/entrances etc.  I have started to learn my lines and song words.  I also went through one of my scenes as Captain Smolsky with the new drama teacher.

1st blocking

Today we sang a bit of 'you give a little love' and then we started blocking the first scene - where Bugsy is acting as the narrator.  This was quite helpful as i wasn't really sure what Laughing Boy was meant to do here although i knew he's a hood.

Fat Sam's Grand Slam

Today we sang Fat Sam's Grand Slam.  We perfected the notes and also did some breathing excerises.
